Oxygen-fed generators need an oxygen source, which we do not supply. There are two realistic options.
Oxygen cylinders
Compressed oxygen, typically 99%+ purity, from a welding supplier or via prescription depending on grade and where you are.
Good: consistently high purity, which means consistent concentration. Steady pressure. No electricity needed.
Less good: they run out. Refills mean transport. And a high-pressure cylinder is genuinely dangerous if dropped or damaged, a knocked-off valve can turn one into a projectile. They must be secured upright.
You need a regulator rated for oxygen with a flow range that matches your generator, often down to fractions of a litre per minute.
Oxygen concentrators
A machine that pulls nitrogen out of room air and delivers oxygen-enriched gas continuously.
Good: never runs out, no cylinder handling, cheaper over time.
Less good: purity is typically 90 to 95%, not 99%+, and it drops as you increase flow. The remainder is mostly argon. Lower purity means lower ozone concentration for the same settings, so your output chart may not match unless it was produced with a concentrator.

Whichever you use
- Keep everything free of oil and grease. Oxygen plus hydrocarbon is a fire.
- Use an oxygen-rated regulator with a flow range that actually covers your low settings.
- Secure cylinders upright so they cannot fall.
- No flames, sparks or smoking near the setup.
